Kindergarten – Mrs. Gwen Heningburg. Mrs. Heningburg received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Tarleton State University in Texas. She is certified in both Texas and Maryland. She and her husband, Kenneth, moved to Harford County in the spring of 2008, and have three children; Kendall, age 10, Kameron, age 7, and Mariah, age 6.
Second Grade – Mrs. Karen Arbour. Mrs. Arbour holds a Bachelors Degree from Columbia International University and a Masters Degree from Acadia University as well as an ACSI Teaching Certificate. Karen and her husband, David, have four children ranging in ages from 10-19. Christian Arbour will be entering our fifth grade this year. Victoria Arbour will be returning to us and entering seventh grade.
Third Grade - Ms. Megan Strittmatter. Ms. Strittmatter is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. Many of you will remember Ms. Strittmatter as a long-term substitute last spring during Mrs. Hebding’s maternity leave. She has also worked as a leader in our Extended Care Program.
Fourth Grade - Mrs. Melissa Stout. Mrs. Stout served as both a third grade and fourth grade teacher for Harford County Public Schools. She holds a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Towson University. Melissa and her husband, Tony, have two children. Their son, Nicholas, will be entering our second grade this year.
Sixth Grade - Mr. Justin Kuk. Mr. Kuk (pronounced Cook) holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education (Math) from Johns Hopkins University. Justin spent the last two years teaching in Baltimore City in conjunction with the “Teach for America” initiative. Justin and his wife, Rebekah, were married just this summer and are actively involved with New Song Community Church.
Physical Education - Mrs. Lori Werner - Mrs. Werner attended Lancaster Bible College and holds Bachelors Degrees in both Health/P.E. and Bible. She is certified by the State of Maryland and ACSI. She has taught elementary and middle school P.E. Lori and her husband, Gary, are the proud parents of Luke who just celebrated his first birthday.
Fifth Grade - Mrs. Melissa Lindner - We are welcoming BACK Mrs. Lindner as she partners with Mrs. McNew to teach fifth grade. Melissa holds a Bachelors Degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and has spearheaded many special MCS projects during her time out of the classroom, including the Jr. Achievement Program. She and her husband, Dave, have two children; Emily and Jonathan.
